Alvaro Echeverría joined Rackspace in June 2015 as Vice president and General Manager for Latin America. On this role Echeverria is responsible of reinforcing the company’s strategy in the region, focusing on expanding its leadership in Managed Cloud Services. He is in charge of supervising all sales, support and customer service, channel, and marketing operations in Latin America, which is one of the fastest-growing markets for Rackspace worldwide.
Echeverría has over 20 years of experience in international sales and marketing. He lived in the United Kingdom before joining Rackspace, acting as Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Europe in a Human Resources startup focused on the delivery of software as a service (SaaS). He worked for over eight years with Dell, where he was in charge of sales and channel operations for multiple markets in Latin America. He has performed executive-level functions in sales and marketing in several technology companies, such as Declara and Aeroflex.
He is a graduate of the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), where he is originally from, and has an MBA from Boston University, where he graduated with honors.
